With an academic background in chemistry, Jamie Pero Parker, Ph.D., leads our sustainability work; currently she is focusing on plastic recycling and pollution. Dr. Pero-Parker has solved challenges across sustainable issues from finding alternatives to perfluorinated coatings to addressing halogenated flame retardants, to using waste heat to power factories, to name a few. She is an engaging and passionate teacher who speaks English and Spanish. Jamie has a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Utah.
